Fleece are like armor, and have a variety of unique effects that will impact your Crusades. Once you have four pieces of a Holy Talisman, you’ll be able to purchase a new Fleece from your chapel. In exchange for life (a fish, your followers, and even a trusted NPC), the fox will give you a piece of a Holy Talisman after each interaction. If you visit these symbols at night, you’ll have the option to “Peer into the Darkness,” which will summon the cloaked figure. There is a moon-shaped icon hidden in Pilgrim’s Passage, Spore Grotto, Smuggler’s Sanctuary, and Midas’s Cave. The evil fox NPC won’t ever give you their name, and they only appears at night in certain areas. Who is the red fox, what do they do, and how do you find them? Most of these just ask you to acquire certain resources from Crusades, but one quest in particular focuses on a mysterious character: the evil, nameless, red fox. Cult of the Lamb offers a few side quest distractions to keep you busy while you build your cult.
